Vintage Indian Choli Tie-back Top
This vintage Indian top, called a choli, was traditionally worn with the back exposed and a flowing sari skirt on the bottom. As pictured, it can also be worn with a layer underneath! Absolutely gorgeous no matter how you style it, it is richly embroidered and decorated all over with mirrors, and pretty patterned fabric lines the inside.
The entire garment is expertly hand-made. Some missing and cracked mirrors, some fraying of the silk around the neck and a few pills/pulls in either silk sleeve. No staining or discoloration. There's a secret inside silk pocket on the left backside. In overall good vintage condition - this choli is from the 1960s.
Fits approx. a size 6/8, with two adjustable back ties behind the neck and at the upper waist. Flat bust panel (no cup pockets).
Would be an amazing Summer top with jean shorts or dressed up for a fancy evening on the town. Perfect for festivals.
Back measurements, garment laid flat:
adjustable waist, best for 30"
approx. 17" across back (armpit to armpit)
approx. 20" across back of shoulders
